I’ve worked in digital content since the Seinfeld finale. In umpteen years as a conceptual copywriter, I paid attention to my agency colleagues and realized I preferred creating the recipe instead of simply icing the cake.

Soon after Kristina Halvorson published her book, I dove into content strategy. I attended a handful of Confab events, adopted best practices, honed my skills and changed my trajectory. I even founded and operated an all-things-content business, Content Therapy Inc., for over two years.

Recently my focus is on the design, development and governance of meaningful content in memorable experiences. I love to educate, empower and entertain. Plus I aim to foster happy teams along the way.

I work closely with researchers, stakeholders, designers and writers to understand what must happen strategically then how to make it happen creatively. I’m an advocate for my team, users, data-driven decisions, intuitive patterns, plain language, accessibility, empathy, DEI, SEO, transparency and realistic expectations.

Colleagues have called me unflappable, approachable and resourceful. I connect the dots among branding, messaging, interaction design, visual design, business objectives, technical requirements and resources. I exceed goals, on deadline and under budget. Often I play the roles of experience designer, information architect, storyteller, creative strategist, coach and therapist.

And I love what I do. It’s the best. THE BEST.
